Eskimos and Egypt were a late 1980s to mid 1990s crossover band based out of Manchester, England. The band were influenced by early electronic acts such as Kraftwerk, Human league, Gary Numan and underground electronica such as SPK, Clan of Xymox, The passage and 4AD acts such as This Mortal coil. They were known as one of the first acts to incorporate live instruments into early 90's dance music, and their live shows were a mix of dance based electronica and metal guitars. The band's debut album "Perfect Disease" was released in 1993 and the song "Fall from Grace" reached # 51 in the UK Charts.
